Rotary Cylinder Burr Aluminium Cut Carbide Burs Cylindrical 6MM Shank
Tungsten carbide burrs are machine ground from tungsten carbide designed to combine high stock removal rates with a long working life. Even hardened steels can be machined and if used correctly , can give a life of fifty to a hundred times that of their high speed steel equivalents, depending on the application and type of use. Tungsten carbide allows heavier cuts and feeds and produce an excellent surface finish.
Tungsten carbide burr applications:
Due to the nature of tungsten carbide and its extreme hardness the range of applications and uses is extensive. The automotive, aircraft, precision engineering and foundry industries are typical users and applications include the machining of:-
(a) Castings, sand cores, ceramics, plastics and other similar materials, glass fibre etc.
(b) Tough materials i.e. cobalt, nickel and chrome steels, welds, forgings, moulds and dies.
(c) Hard materials i.e. HSS, hard welds, chilled iron and stellite. Also for blending and modifying hardened tools and dies.
The complete range of burrs is available in all shapes, sizes and cuts.
